Job description:
This is an exciting, senior opportunity to join a rapidly expanding sustainability and strategic management agency, driving the sustainability movement forward in the motorsport and sport industries.
Enovation Consulting works with motorsport federations, ASNs, teams, championships, OEMs, circuits and high-tech engineering companies to support and shape their sustainability strategies and net-zero plans.
Creativity, innovation, research and data-driven solutions are the driving forces behind the company’s approach to working with their high-profile clients, with the aim to empower organisations with the knowledge they need to integrate sustainability into their business strategy, delivering on their short-medium, and long-term Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals.
The Role:
This role will contribute to the development of the management team, adding value to customers’ services by delivering operationalESG targets and objectives. Although the role will also involve acting as an ambassador for the consultancy and dealing with prospective customers, the primary focus will be on supporting implementation of clients’ strategies over the short, medium and longer term.
You will support a small number of clients, both on-site in Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire or Oxfordshire and be based in the company offices, when not at client sites. Please note this is not a hybrid or remote role so proximity is paramount.
You will have proven experience in building and implementing sustainability strategies in engineering companies, specifically assisting with the move to Net Zero.
You need to be highly organised, a team player, a fantastic communicator at all levels and be a great problem solver.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring projects are executed to clients’ expectations, on time, on budget and to high quality standard.
Represent Enovation Consulting best practice, managing and communicating effectively with clients
Develop and execute impact driven sustainability initiatives that are aligned with the client ESG and business goals and objectives.
Lead the development and implementation of initiatives that will positively impact our clients’ local community and staff, our planet and our business activities.
Setting, monitor and report on sustainability performance, using key performance indicators (KPIs) and objective key results (OKR) to measure progress and identify areas for improvement
Engage with clients’ suppliers, and partners to promote and integrate sustainable practices in all events and operations.
Build strong relationships with clients’ key stakeholders, including employees, visitors, local communities, charities and regulatory bodies, to drive engagement and collaboration on sustainability initiatives.
Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans to raise awareness and foster a culture of sustainability and collaboration.
Organise and lead workshops, training sessions, and events to educate and engage stakeholders on sustainability issues and best practices.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
Develop and manage budgets related to sustainability projects and initiatives.
Keep abreast of changes to ESG legislation and practices to ensure business procedures and policies remain current.
Ensuring projects are well coordinated, on time, on budget and to high quality standards
Effectively manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Investigate on key sustainability initiatives/practices within the industry, channelling the latest ESG trends
Ensure accurate and consistent measurement of ESG performance data; produce internal and external reporting on progress towards ESG objectives and targets
Proactively seek to identify real customer needs and support further business development through customer insight
Provide expert advice to all clients’ departments on key sustainability initiatives, channelling the latest ESG thought leadership and regulatory developments into the business
Ensure accurate and consistent measurement of ESG performance data; produce internal and external reporting on progress towards ESG objectives and targets
Evaluate relevant sustainability technology proposals and have the ability to take concepts and ideas and convert them into practical steps and plans
Strong stakeholder management skills, and ability to represent clients in internal and external Sustainability Working Groups
Performance Responsibilities:
Performance will be monitored against the following:
Objectives set through the Personal Development Review (PDR) process
Ownership and completion of agreed business priorities in a timely manner externally for the client allocated, and internally as team member of Enovation Consulting

What we are looking for:
A strong interest in sport and motorsport
Minimum 5 years of experience in design and delivering ESG strategy and operational changes and/or developing strategic sustainability solutions
Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing people and customers
Strong written and oral communication skills, with an ability to generate communication contents.
An ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, with an agile and pragmatic working style
A track record of shaping strategic ESG plans and business cases
Strong advisory/execution skills
Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and respond to changing priority
Knowledge of ISO14001, ISO20121 and relevant environmental certifications
Knowledge of GHG calculation, UK and EU innovation fund, CDP and SERC reporting
Understanding of Life Cycle Assessment, carbon reduction and sustainability resource planning
A clear communicator who can articulate complex concepts to a wide variety of audiences
A collaborative team player, with excellent stakeholder management skills
The ability to lead with purpose, while motivating and developing a team of direct reports
Outstanding direct report to the internal team and with external clients
Ability to interact at level of management, consultants and clients
Fluency in English (corporate language)
Desirable:
Engineering/sustainability background preferable and/or MSc in a business or sustainability linked subjects
Second language beneficial (Italian preferable)
Knowledge of ECOVADIS and/or similar sustainable supply chain management systems
